AdWords just has to be one of the greatest Online Marketing and Advertising tools to date. Thankfully I don’t know much about how difficult it was advertising before, but I can imagine how costly and frustrating it must have been to buy advertising space in newspapers and magazines and find that your advert was illegible or wrong and there was not a thing you could do about it by then. But now it doesn’t have to be that way.

Those new to Internet opportunities and the emerging force to be reckoned with - silver entrepreneurs, are realising that, your beautiful website won’t do a thing for you unless it gets seen. And the best way to get found by customers is to advertise using the very search terms they would use to find you. By targeting your customers search keywords you optimise your advertising resources, by appearing to those who are already looking for what you provide. This eliminates any cold calling and wasted energy and cash, by driving already dedicated customers to your website. With a snappy relevant advert your classified emerges in prime position when someone searches those keyword requisites you’ve bid on. You choose those keywords and what you want to pay for those leads and you are only charged when a customer clicks through your advert to your site. Choose as many keywords as you want. You are advertising even if they then choose another search criteria and your advert pops up again. You must be exactly what they are looking for and you still only pay pennies, once they do click through to your site, on Google’s recommendation. I’m convinced there is no better cost effective means of getting committed customers already interested and looking for what you’ve got.

Whatever your finances, you choose to spend as little or as much money, time and effort as you want, to optimise the results you deserve. You can edit your ads and adjust your advertising budget, add and remove as many keywords as you require, until you obtain the sales you desire. You can also display a variety of ad formats and even target your ads to specific languages and geographic locations. Once set up your AdWords campaign runs on autopilot and all you need to do is check your detailed results to ensure it’s continuing to work well for you. Seeing is believing because your increased sales and/or signups will speak for themselves AdWords are proving indispensable in your particular niche market with the services you provide and increasingly its also being discovered as crucial to affiliate marketers earning commissions promoting the Internet industry’s trailblazers.

There is more to knowing how to use Google AdSense to make money than just placing a few Adsense blocks on some of your websites. That is fine if you want to make a few dollars a month from your website for little effort, and get a $100 check sent to you every now and again, but not if you want to make more substantial money than that.

If you are designing a site specifically for Adsense, you must first find a suitable niche with good keywords that people are paying substantial amounts for in the Google Adwords program. That is because it is the Google Adwords adverts that are used by Google on your Adsense site. If there is a fair number of high cost clicks in your niche, then you have a good chance of these appearing on your website.

Be prepared to design a decent website that people are going to want to visit, since adsense or not, it will be difficult to get your website listed on Google if your site has a low level of relevance to the search terms, or keywords, used by people using Google for their search. There is little point in using Google Adwords to advertise a site monetized only with Google Adsense! If you are selling popular products, then the Adsense might just pay for your Adwords campaign, but it is very unlikely. The best combination is a reasonably expert site, with some products or services offered, and also some Adsense blocks.

Some pages on your site could consist of articles with accompanying Adsense blocks, and others of sales pages offering your products or services without the distraction of Adsense. You should not place Adsense on your sales pages or squeeze pages because that will distract visitors to your page, and once they click on the Adsense ad, they will be off. Adsense should ideally have a page to itself, where it doesn’t matter if the prospect leaves or not. By then you should have offered them your opt-in page.

Your niche rarely matters since most niches have a range of high and low prices. What matters is designing a page round each of the keywords you want to use. Once you have a list of keywords - say 20 or thirty plus, then enter each one into it

To find the better Adsense keywords, enter your keyword into the Google KeywordToolExternal and check the Adwords prices the tool provides you with. Do that with each of your keywords and select those that cost most. Your income per click will be related to the cost per click paid by the advertiser. Once you have selected your keywords, then write information pages based on each of the keywords, and optimize each page for the relevant keyword.

It is important that your visitors see a professional looking website, containing useful content and information. Offer some products if you can, and if your visitors do not see anything they want they will have the option of clicking on an Adsense ad. Hence you can make money in two ways. You visitors will prefer it that your site offers more than just a page full of adverts as many Adsense sites do.

Google, however, are slowly working their way through such websites and dropping them from the listings. This will not happen to your site if it provides good content relevant to the keyword of each page. At least this is true unless you are copying content, in which case your web page might never see the light of day. Many web pages are generated automatically by software that can be generating exactly the same pages for other users as it is for you. You should write your own content or have it written for you by a professional ghost writer that will not offer your work to anybody else.

If you follow the above advice, then you will have a better chance of making money from Adsense. However, if you really want to know how to use Google Adsense to make money, then the secret is in duplication.

If a person is able to invest millions of dollars and then goes on to pour it into a business, it may be able to build a successful enterprise. Similarly, if a company has a large amount of capital to spend on marketing, there is a good chance of a successful result.

But where is the genius in this approach? And how can it help the person or business that doesn??t have a million dollars to sink into a start-up business?

Anyone can buy customers given enough money or credit, by spending huge amounts of money on advertisements and promotions. Anyone can build their business if given unlimited capital, and many have, using millions of dollars in some instances, of stockholders?? equity in the process.

There is however, another way to go about marketing your business. It is applicable to businesses with limited capital, and also those that have vast cash reserves and wish to continue to grow. It doesn??t require you to spend a lot of money, rather it relies on your knowledge about what motivates people to buy something or choose one product over another.

Once you have this knowledge you can successfully enter many if not most fields without spending a fortune on advertising.

You can call this marketing without money, cheap marketing, marketing on a shoestring, clever marketing, or better yet, it is actually genius marketing. It is genius marketing no doubt, but you don??t have to be an Einstein to learn how to do it.

All you need is willingness to cast aside pre-conceived ways of doing business and to follow the examples of others who have achieved their marketing goals without spending a fortune. It comes down to setting aside traditional marketing philosophy and learning a technique that goes far beyond such outdated methods.

Let me give you an example of just how easy some of these methods are. I have a small story included on my website, where a large firm had just spent $110,000 on a three month advertising and marketing campaign, blitzing a particular city in the United States. They did not experience any difference in volume of business and actually believe that they did not earn an extra dollar from the exercise.

I had just given a three hour seminar to 2,000 people in the magnificent Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island in Hawaii. It was 1997, at a 5 day corporate retreat for a major American real-estate group. They were long days and I was heading back to my suite at about 2:00 a.m. While waiting at the elevator, a very jovial character standing beside me jumped to life with the statement:

?OK Mr. Marketing Guru, I loved your seminar, but if you??re so crash hot, what do you think you could do specifically for me, that would make such a big difference in so short a period of time??? The elevator doors opened and we got in, and I wanted to be brief, as I had been up since 4:00 a.m. He was the managing partner of a large independent legal firm. I asked him three or four pertinent questions in just a few minutes. Then I told him that of would give him just one idea in about 30 seconds. I went on to tell him that I thought if he could not make an extra $1,000,000 from it in the next 12 months, then he is either inept at his profession, or otherwise I am inept at describing the strategy ??? maybe because I am somewhat tired.

He listened intently at what I had to say which took me about one minute, I must admit, because I got so excited at the possibilities for this firm. Both he and his wife slowly looked at each other and their bottom jaws almost hit the floor. How much could you make from that one idea Johnny, I asked ??. maybe $1,000,000????

He remained silent for a moment, then looked at me and said no—lots more than that! I immediately asked him how much it would cost to get that extra income. He thought for a moment and said, maybe $2,000. I agreed.

We briefly exchanged business cards and the following day arrangements were made to visit his offices in Florida for a week, the following month.?

While I ended up implementing a vast range of marketing tools at little or no cost, the important thing was being able to show how this new marketing mindset works. It allows all the staff to get involved and continue implementing their marketing without having me in the office all the time.

Over the last 25 years I have seen many businesses go broke simply because they sunk a lot of money into advertising campaigns that did not work. My approach is to look at what everyone else is doing, and then do it differently. Marketing is not a ??campaign?.

Marketing is a way of business life.

It is something you do all the time, whether you realize it or not. It??s a mindset and it is easy once you understand that. Its lots easier than having to regularly sit down and strategize a ??campaign?, or to spend a fortune on direct mail, or advertising and hope for the best.

Instead of relying on a big budget to get results, you can reach your target audience without spending anything or by spending very little. This applies to the one-person start-up as well as to large corporations, which oftentimes needlessly spend their shareholders capital on wasteful marketing schemes.

Just to give you an example, you can get tons of free advertising by writing articles related to your field of activity and publishing them on other websites and in the electronic newsletters of other organizations. You may be a start-up with ten people on your own mailing list, but if you can get your article published on a list that has 100,000 readers then your new business will get a shot in the arm.

This gives you substantial credibility that no amount of money can buy, and you gain leverage on both your time and your money. These are two crucial elements to any marketing philosophy, and the first two that I discuss with every single client.

There are a lot of people spruiking marketing materials today, and one of the problems with this is that this information-overload often leads to confusion in the mind of the starting entrepreneur. The answer is get out there and do it ?? but you do not need to do too much. You might identify one hundred different ways to do some marketing, and then wonder how you do it all. It just seems overwhelming to many businesses, particularly new businesses.

You don??t! Not all at once anyway.

Just start out with enough that you can manage, given your time and resources. Then as that brings success, do more, and so on. This understanding seems so often to elude some of the most astute minds in business. I have for years shown businesses how to achieve considerable marketing success by implementing only as much as they know they can handle, at any one time.

Remember that marketing is an ongoing process (whether you realize it or not) and not a series of structured campaigns!

Google Cash is an ebook written by extremely successful Internet Marketer and AdWords Expert - Chris Carpenter, who uses this method to earn thousands of dollars per month with AdWords, and he’s been doing this for years.

This ebook describes how you can use Google AdWords and affiliate networks, such as Clickbank or Commission Junction to make money online. It also covers the Google AdWords system.

In Google Cash ebook, Chris also shows some of his profitable campaigns, how he located golden keywords, how he creates affiliate links, write Google advertisements and how he tracks his results.

Chris goes very detailed about how to get your affiliate business started, how to find and choose profitable affiliate programs, how to join them, get the affiliate links and how to develop a list of keywords, which will help you to promote the product and target the customers who want to buy your product.

There are lots of useful tips in Google Cash ebook, and it would a perfect guide for those who are just starting AdWords and affiliate business. For people, who are already advertising on AdWords, and are advanced users, you can skip the first chapters of the ebook, because those are the basics of online business.

I really enjoyed the section about writing ads, that get clicked very often. Chris explains how to write attractive and profitable ads, and also he refers to Google AdWords Guidelines, so he makes sure, that your ads won’t get disapproved.

The problem with AdWords is that if you have chosen the wrong keywords, then your campaign will never be profitable, that’s why I recommend reading Google Cash, so you know how to create a campaign, which will make you money.

Chris will explain how to create a campaign from a scratch. Everything is included: keyword research, how to write ads, how to target customers, and much more. You will also find great techniques on how to maximize profits of your campaign and decrease the spendings.

At the end of his ebook, Chris recommends to read Perry Marshall’s Guide To AdWords. Perry Marshall is one of those AdWords gurus, who knows pretty much everything about AdWords. However, I wouldn’t buy Perry Marshall’s Guide, because it’s actually outdated material, but Google Cash is up-to-date ebook and the methods will definitely work.

My advice to you is that you should get Google Cash ebook, if you want to know how to make money thousands per month with AdWords. I would recommend this ebook for anyone, because even experienced advertisers will find a lot of important stuff in it. I hope you will make a correct decision.

As stated in Part 1 of this article series, there are many different mlm compensation plans being utilized by not only startups in the industry but also the top mlm companies as well. There really is no standard per se — it more or less comes down to the goals of the company either short term or long term.

The next compensation plan I’d like to discuss is the Binary. This is a variation in a sense of the Matrix, in that a Binary only allows you to place 2 people on your first level. Everyone else that comes into the program, either from your efforts or those of your upline support team, go below the original 2 people. Therefore, you only need to focus on building 2 legs in your business, often called the Left leg and Right leg.

Again, on the surface it sounds pretty attractive. However, let’s drill down a bit deeper. Network marketing companies that use a Binary compensation plan typically require you to balance the volume between your left and right leg organizations, usually in a one third to two thirds ratio. The leg with only one third of the business volume is known as your weak leg. So in order to kick out commission payments — known as cycles in this type of plan — you’d need about a one third to two thirds ratio in your business volume to maximize the payout of the plan, since your payout is based on the volume amount in the weak leg. That’s the big rub here. If you have a runaway leg that takes off for you — many people are lucky if they can build 1 runaway leg in any plan — but your weak leg goes close to or completely nowhere, you get virtually no payout on your group business volume. All that volume will either roll-up to your qualified upline — probably a heavy hitter — or to the company itself.

Not so attractive now, is it? Companies always do well with these plans because so much volume tends to go uncollected. Also, I know of many top mlm companies using a Binary that tout their big money earners, many of which are collecting roll-up payouts from their downline members who can’t seem to balance their business volume and collect commissions. Some companies try to fix the inherent problems with matching bonuses and other methods, but I have yet to see a binary plan that is beneficial to the average part-time distributor.

In an effort to level the playing field for the average person, many top mlm companies have started using a Unilevel plan. This plan is very simple — what a concept! To qualify for commission, you are normally required to purchase a small amount of product each month for personal or retail use. Then you are allowed to sponsor as many new distributors as you’d like on your first level, and you are paid a certain commission percentage down through a set number of additional levels — usually 5 to 10. This negates the laziness factor brought on by the spillover concept in a Matrix, since new distributors have to actually build a group to get paid. It also solves the frustrating balancing factor of the Binary because you’ll get paid on all the volume that is within your payout levels, no matter where the volume happens to be.

Although this may not be a favorite among the big guns that can build huge organizations that go down many levels deep, it is truly a simple and fair plan for the average person looking to make some additional income or even replace their income and go full-time.

In Part 3 of this series, I’ll wrap up this overview of common mlm compensation plans and offer some suggestions on where to go moving forward.

Advertising on Google’s AdWords can best be described as operating in a hostile environment. Even though the search engine giant makes $15 Billion a year on this “little” paid search business they have, they don’t go to any great lengths to make it easy for you to work with them.

In Google’s defense, it has to balance two customer bases that can’t exist without each other. On the one hand, there are the searchers. They want good information, relevant search engine (and paid search) results, fast answers, quality content, and no spam (definition open to interpretation). On the other hand, there are the advertisers. They want traffic, as much as they can get and as cheaply as they can get it. There are also some “bad apples” out there that try and get away with underhanded techniques and get rich quick schemes. These are the ones that Google is the most concerned about. The problem is that the very measures that Google puts in place to protect itself and its searchers from these types of advertisers are the ones that can make it difficult for the well-intentioned advertiser from making AdWords work for them.

AdWords can be a very profitable place to invest your advertising budget. In fact, I make most of my living doing so. The key is to understand the (sometimes unwritten) rules, tips, and tricks to employ in order to keep Google happy. If Google is happy, then your per click costs will be going down, and your traffic will be going up. The added benefit is that making Google happy will generally result in better profitability for you as well. Google is happiest when your ad is getting a high CTR (click through rate, meaning lost of people are clicking on your ad), and the people who click on your ads are satisfied with the information they see on your web site. This makes Google the most money, and should work the same for you. Google measures how “happy” people are with the web sites they visit by how quickly they hit that back button.

Here are my tips to rescue your AdWords campaigns.

Tip #1 Keywords

You don’t have enough of them.

If you don’t have at least 500 - 1000 keywords in your campaigns (and I don’t care what market you’re in), I can guarantee that you’re leaving profitable keywords on the table.

Use one of the keyword research tools like Wordtracker and Keywordtopia. If you plug in your “root” term (the most general term or two that describes your product or market), you’ll be amazed at the things that pop out and have you thinking.

Don’t forget plural versions of existing keywords.

Look for combination multipliers like cities and states…for example, instead of the one keyword of “weight loss center”, use that along with each state, and then add each state along with “weight loss centers” etc.

Brainstorm a bit with friends and colleagues and add in these ideas. You’ll have thousands of keywords in a very short period of time.

Tip #2 Correct Usage of Match Types

There are three match types in Google; broad, phrase, and exact. Check out Google’s AdWord’s help documents for a discussion about how each one works.

Most people who are just starting out with AdWords make this mistake. They only bid on the broad match. That is, putting the keyword or phrase by itself with no quotes or brackets around it. In fact, Google has a built in suggestion to start out only using this match type. That is not always sound advice.

I recommend bidding on all three match types (this also effectively triples your keyword list). There is almost no way of knowing which match type will be the most effective for you. You need to try them and track them, then adjust accordingly.

Tip #3 Keyword Grouping

Most advertisers start out with one ad group and stuff hundreds or even thousands of keywords or phrases into it. This does not make Google happy. They immediately think that you can’t possible write relevant ads for all these keywords, and have relevant landing pages etc. So, they tend to give you a low quality score and your clicks will be very expensive (if you can even get your ads running).

The key is to make tightly focused AdWords groups. The way that most people do it is by a “theme”. Generally, if all the keywords or phrases in an adgroup can be served by one highly targeted ad and landing page…they are in a good grouping. However, my suggestion is to have one adgroup for EVERY keyword (include all three match types, so every adgroup really ends up having three keywords or phrases). This is a lot of work, but there are tools out there that can help. Google’s own AdWords Editor is free and will help a lot.

Tip #4 Landing Pages

You simply must have targeted landing pages for each of your customers’ “conversations” that are going on when they sit down to search for something.

If you’re doing advertising and trying to capture leads from people who are looking to sell their home in San Francisco, send them to the page that talks about why they should use you to be their listing broker. If you’re capturing leads from people looking into relocating to San Francisco, send them to a page that talks about your expertise in handling relocations and helping people buy homes.

Too often, advertisers capture totally different type of customer leads and simply send them to their home page. This does not make people happy, as they want to continue the conversation they were having quickly…and get answers to their questions and problems, not try to navigate through your web site to find the information. They’re not happy, so they hit that back button in less than 5 seconds. This does not make Google happy, you’ve lost a sale, and Google may penalize you with higher click charges.

Tip #5 Writing your Ads

This could be a whole article in itself. Common mistakes to avoid:

You must try to repeat the keyword or phrase in the ad (this is why keyword grouping is important). Google makes the assumption that if you repeat what the user typed in, your ad is most likely relevant. They will reward this with lower bid prices.

Don’t continue a thought or sentence from one line to the next. Not many people actually read the ads…they skim and click when their eyes are attracted to something.

Capitalize the first letter of every word. This is scientifically proven to increase clicks. Why? I don’t care, and you shouldn’t either…it just works!

Use the display URL effectively, especially if it has the keyword in it. Don’t use www.wieghtlossclinic.com use WeightLossClinic.com . It should be obvious which one draws the eye more.

Tip #6 Split testing

When you set up an adgroup, always write two different ads. You must then monitor them to see which one is performing better. You can literally increase your clicks 3x or more by doing this. It doesn’t matter what you change and make different in your ads. Just change something and always test and monitor.

When one ad can be declared as the winner (search the web for split test calculators to get the statistical answer), get rid of the under performing one and immediately write another new one to try and beat the one that just won.

Tip #7 Content network

I recommend turning the content network off at first, and then taking the terms that have been profitable for you and starting another campaign that ONLY advertises on the content network.

If you do both in one campaign, it can be very difficult to effectively track your keywords’ and ads’ performance, and your return on your advertising investment.

Tip #8 Geographic and schedule targeting

If it makes sense for your market…use both.

In our real estate example in San Francisco, you’d want to run two different campaigns for trying to get listings in your area. People searching on “Sell house San Francisco” not paying attention to geography, and people searching on the more general “sell house”…targeting only those people in San Francisco.

Examine all the metrics for using the scheduling feature. There are campaigns, for example, that are only really profitable on the weekends. If you can determine that, then obviously it makes sense to only run your ads then.

Tip #9 Conversion tracking

If you do nothing else, do this. You must track conversions!

If you don’t know what you’re getting for you’re advertising dollar, how can you make good decisions?

If you’re selling a product online, the best way to do this is to use Google’s own conversion tracking. This works very well. It’s a simple bit of code that you, or your web designer can add to your sales confirmation page that tells Google that, for this keyword or phrase, a sale was made. Google stores and reports on this information so that you can go to one place and see what you spent on keywords, and what the return on that investment was.

There are other ways to do this, and it’s a bit more difficult to do if you’re not selling something; however, it’s absolutely mandatory. Do web searches on conversion tracking to learn more.

Tip #10 Bid Adjustments

All keywords are not created equally. You must examine your spend and your conversions for each and every keyword and adjust the bid (individually) for each of them.

Bonus Tip - Learn the AdWords editor…and use it.

Direct mail marketing can be a great way for a chiropractic office to develop new customers. The chiropractors can advertise an introductory special and in this way people who have back problems or aches and pains can come in and find out what is going on. It makes sense for new patients to come in for the introductory offer because preventative maintenance ahead of time can usually had off disaster is back problems later.

It behooves chiropractic offices to participate in direct-mail marketing programs by putting their discount coupons into mail out packages. When doing this it also makes sense to include those zip codes within a 25-mile radius in rural areas and a 15-mile radius within the city. Use direct-mail marketing and such discounts?

I would recommend doing it at least four times per year in those zip codes with in that radius, because people do not always opened these discount packages, but sometimes they do. Additionally, there will be new people moving into the area and replacing those people who have moved out of the area. This means a steady stream of new customers coming into the chiropractic clinic to replace the attrition of those people moving out of the area. Please consider all this in 2006.

Those of you who have been following the various AdSense forums — and that’s everyone, right? — will have noticed that Google has been making a couple of little changes: Four ads are back in the ad units instead of two; and the latest themed ad unit (the one with the cute dogs for the Chinese New Year) didn’t override our ad settings and put borders back where there shouldn’t be any, like the previous themes did.

That’s all good news.

Having four ads in my ad units was driving me crazy. It wasn’t that I saw any significant drop in overall revenues but having spent hours optimizing my sites to show four-ad units, to see the layout of my pages changed by Google without a heads-up was pretty frustrating.

I just wish that Google would let us know what they were thinking. Even if we couldn’t change their decision, it would certainly help us to prepare so that we can make the most of it.

That’s it as far as my complaints go though, because I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the way Google responded to our comments.

A lot of people had been complaining about only receiving two ads instead of the four they’d planned for. And many publishers had pointed out that the borders in their themed ads and the loss of their optimization had hit their CTR. It’s good to see that the folks at Google follow what we’re saying and act on it.

In fact, I really think that these forums are one of the greatest things about building up AdSense. (Yeah, I know I’m preaching to the choir here but I think it’s worth saying.) I talk a lot in my books and presentations about the different ways to optimize a site for AdSense, but these forums are really some of the best resources for new ideas. Everyone who uses AdSense should be reading them on a regular basis, checking out what other people are saying, implementing the recommendations made by people who have been there and done that, and at the very least getting moral support for the times when things don’t go quite the way you planned.

These AdSense forums really work… they certainly worked on Google.

There are many ways to search for a person both online or offline, which are mostly free of charge. However, searches can often take up a valuable portion of the user’s time, so locating someone easily and efficiently would often require the help of a professional search firm.

If you already know the person’s name, you can easily start your search from home, on an internet-enabled computer using search engines such as Google, which can help to find any mention of them. This person may also be a member of social networking sites such as MySpace or Facebook. This may help give insight into the person’s current area of residence or current relationship status. Checking civil and court records can also give information as to relationship status as well as any past criminal offences.

Some professional people search companies operating on the Internet have access to databases worldwide, so if you have time, a fast internet connection and a person’s name, it can be very rewarding. They do charge a small fee, but can often turn up information such as current and past addresses, telephone numbers, criminal background, and even employers and addresses of neighbours.

When searching for a person, or people yourself, it makes it easier to have a starting point, something which can be linked to that person. This may include their name, the school or college they to, their favourite place to visit or hang out at, any old addresses or phone numbers and any common friends. Once you have your starting point, it’s much easier to work around, as the information you gather would lead your closer to the person you are trying to find. Searching in a telephone directory can also be an extremely effective yet simple method of finding someone.

However if you want to save time and money, it’s probably best to go with a search firm. They work quickly and efficiently and narrow down the search to the most likely places on the internet that the person would show up. They do charge a small fee but it’s worth it as it cuts down the search time tremendously.

Dedicated hosting involves a specific server for a website and is allotted for its exclusive functioning. It is called dedicated, since there is a single server committed to ?host? or run the website. Shared hosting, on the other hand, has the same server that hosts a number of websites. This reduces running costs of a server and is relatively inexpensive compared to dedicated hosting. In this case, the provider takes care of servers, softwares and other requirements that are uniform for all the users.

Users who own large websites that have a heavy flow of traffic should consider dedicated hosting. These users do not mind paying extra for customized services in return for enhanced speed, security and technical privileges. With dedicated hosting, the site is loaded quickly. The owner can easily access and change the contents as desired.

There are a significant number of positive features of dedicated hosting, such as customized services and on-site support. Hardware and software requirements can be modified, depending on the needs of clients. Website uptime can be enhanced by on-site support and monitoring results. Uptime refers to the percentage of time that the website is running. A longer uptime increases the site?s reliability. Option of data and power backup is another added feature. Clients need not buy updated or maintain equipment, because the service provider looks them after. Upgrading to a better service is cheaper.

The downside of dedicated servers is related to expenses and a few other limitations. The monthly fees charged by service providers may seem rather steep over a long period of time, depending on the way it is used. This makes users consider purchasing a server, and using a co-location facility. This alternative allows a number of users to pool in their resources to set up a data center. Certain dedicated servers may restrict the use of IRC (Internet Relay Chat) or prohibit from posting adult content.
